Minimally Invasive Surgery
Expect your Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group neurosurgeon to use minimally invasive techniques whenever possible to reduce pain, scarring, and recovery time. Your neurosurgeon may use endoscopy to place a thin tube (endoscope) with a light and tiny video camera for cranial and skull base surgeries. This lets the surgeon perform your procedure through small incisions.
Intraoperative Imaging
Your surgeon may use imaging technology during your procedure to see the inside of your body in more detail. This helps your surgeon reduce risks and perform your procedure more precisely
Your First Appointment
Our goal is to help you make informed decisions about your health. At your first visit, your neurosurgical team will:
- Provide education on your diagnosis and disease progression
- Review imaging results
- Discuss treatment options, including surgical and nonsurgical care and explain the risks and benefits of each option
Explain next steps and what to expect before, during, and after treatment
